A Word From Terri
For those who don’t know my homeschooling story, I began teaching my children at home in 1994. My daughter was in 5th grade and my son was 3 1/2 years old. I helped establish a brand new cover school at Southcrest Baptist Church. After several years the principals of the school wanted to go in a different direction and the school closed. I was still homeschooling my son. After much prayer, I agreed to start Riverside Christian Academy as a ministry at Riverside Baptist Church.
Riverside Christian Academy was established in 2005. I have served the past 18 years as Administrator/Principal. I have been blessed to have had the most incredible families and students come through this school. My desire is to see parents instill the word of God and a love for the Lord in their children as they teach. If our children acquire a love for learning as well, we will have accomplished a great deal.
It gives me joy to see the students excel in academics, careers and building their families. Not only are my adult children 2nd generation homeschoolers but now, for me, students are returning to Riverside Christian Academy to teach their own children.
